New Horizons for Dependability!
The International Conference on Dependable Systems and Networks represents a
new beginning in the field of dependable computing, as well as the continuation
of long-established traditions. Formed from the combination of two established
conferences - the International Symposium on Fault-Tolerant Computing (FTCS)
sponsored by the IEEE Computer Society, and the Working Conference on
Dependable Computing for Critical Applications (DCCA) sponsored by IFIP WG
10.4 - this inclusive conference is designed to capture the wide range of
activities in this increasingly important technical area.
The goal is to establish the International Conference on Dependable Systems and
Networks as a worthy successor to FTCS and DCCA as the premier conference
related to highly dependable computing for both researchers and
practitioners. We invite and encourage you to participate in this new and
expanded conference to help realize this goal.
PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS:
-
Keynote addresses and panels on challenges and promises of next generation of
dependable systems and networks
-
Multi-track technical sessions with more than 55 presentations, practical
experience reports, and software demonstrations covering the most recent
advances in dependable systems and networks
-
Three timely workshops addressing dependability issues related to
e-business systems, IP-based applications/networks, and security
-
Five half-day tutorials by leading experts in the field
-
A Fast Abstracts track emphasizing late-breaking research results
and work-in-progress
-
A Student Forum track providing the opportunity for students working in
the area of dependable computing to present their on-going research
-
Opportunities to meet and interact with top researchers and professionals
from around the world
DSN will also continue the recent "tradition" of FTCS by offering a highly
functional web page. Fast abstract submission
will take place in large part via forms on this web site. We
hope that the web page will serve as a focus for DSN-related activity in the
months leading up to the conference.

FTCS Library of
past conferences' tables of contents, or order proceedings from the
IEEE Computer Society
Bookstore.
